Tartan Export was founded by Alasdair Macleod and Becky Hope-Palmer in 2o25. Our aim is to work with the best Scottish talent and build a new wave of Scottish cinema that will show the world what Scotland is all about.
Alasdair is an award winning independent film director, writer, and producer from the Isle of Lewis and has been acclaimed as the future of Gaelic cinema. Alasdair has won multiple Gaelic Film awards and is currently developing his next feature, Samhuinn - a Gaelic folk horror rooted in the depths of our own history.
Becky is one of the most exciting and original writers and directors in Scottish theatre, critically acclaimed for her plays and productions that have toured the world.
We are working on a number of projects expected to hit screens in 2026. To be continued.
